Germany no longer wants to accept refugees from Ukraine

German districts no longer want to accept Ukrainian refugees, writes Die Welt.

"Integration of all people is more impossible," - say representatives of the district municipalities, demanding from Berlin and the EU to take measures to combat high levels of migration.

These requirements include stopping refugees from Ukraine.

"Some districts and municipalities are covered by legal and illegal migration. Integration of all people is more impossible. The problems are becoming more and more," said the President of the German Association of District (DLT) Reinhard Gerd.

Therefore, districts no longer want to accept refugees from Ukraine.

"With all the importance of solidarity with Ukraine, we ask whether we need to come to us so many people from a country attacked by Russia," said Zagre, who represents the CDU Party. According to him, only in Baden-Württemberg lives twice as many Ukrainian refugees than in France.

Instead, he proposed to create a "protected housing at a safe event of Ukraine". "Poland may also be ready to accept more Ukrainian refugees if it received support from the EU," Zager added.

He recognizes that the number of asylum requests from Ukraine is decreasing, but there is no "real change in trend".
