In 2024, foreigners registered 1109 new companies in Ukraine, which is 24% less than the previous year. Such data is provided by the Opendatabot platform.
Business in Ukraine was founded by citizens from 78 countries. Turkish representatives-201 Business Project, Poland-90, and the United States-89. Lviv region became the second most popular with 137 new enterprises, and Odessa took third place with 122 companies.
Regarding the areas of activity, the most new foreign companies operate in the wholesale trade in - 255 companies (23%), computer programming - 109 companies (9.8%), and real estate operations - 86 companies (7.8%).
Some of these companies are in touch with well-known Ukrainian financial and industrial groups. For example, the OMBRI ENERGY ENERGY COM. The Limited citizen of Greece is part of a group of Levochkin's family. Another company, AP, bioenergy complex, founded by US and Austria citizens, is related to the Avec concern, which belongs to the group of Alexander Feldman.
Such activity of foreigners in the business environment of Ukraine testifies to its attractiveness even in difficult economic conditions. At the same time, reducing the number of new companies can be a signal to view policy to support foreign business in the country.
