The new round of negotiations in Jeddy

On March 23, the city of Jedda (Saudi Arabia) will take place an important round of negotiations between the United States and Russia to cease fire in Ukraine. The special envoy of the US President on the Middle East, Steve Vitcoff, confirmed that the main topic of the meeting will be the detailing of the conditions of the 30-day ceasefire.

The US delegation is headed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump Advisor Mike Volz. One of the key aspects of negotiations will be to discuss the termination of firing of energy infrastructure and goals in the Black Sea. Witcoff noted that Russia is ready to agree to these conditions.

"The Russians agree to both of these aspects, and I hope that Ukrainians will accept it too," Vitcoff said. According to him, the proposed 30-day ceasefire will include not only energy infrastructure, but also other key objects that may be at risk.

Despite the positive signals from the Russian side, there are still a number of issues that need agreement. However, the negotiations that will start on Sunday promise to be an important step towards achieving a stable peace process. Witcoff noted that the main purpose is to achieve positive results in further negotiations.
