On February 3, a significant attack on energy facilities in the city of Kryvyi Rih took place, which went down in history as one of the most massive of the entire year. Representatives of the energy company reported that this is the third attack on the city's energy infrastructure in the last week by the occupiers. However, it was the drone attack on February 3 that turned out to be the most massive of the entire year for the country's energy system as a whole.
The attack was aimed at high-voltage energy facilities, which led to the disconnection of electricity, heat and water supply to thousands of subscribers in Kryvyi Rih and its surroundings. Energy specialists reported that restoration work was extremely difficult due to the reduced reliability of the power supply to the damaged power stations. Repair crews had to restore power to residents of the region twice during the day.
Representatives of the company noted that at the moment, work is ongoing both on the trunk and distribution networks. However, despite the difficulties, the power supply has already been partially restored. Ukrenergo adds that these outages were the first after air attacks since the beginning of the heating season.
