The head of the foreign policy of Ukraine commented on a large -scale air attack, which the Russian army made during the period of the International Summit. He believes that the Kremlin's actions are the desire to demonstrate disrespect for the joint position of partner countries.
In a report published on June 17, the Minister stated that the strikes were purposefully aimed at civilian infrastructure and residential areas, in particular in the capital. This, according to him, happened at the same time as a meeting of leaders of the leading democracies of the world in Canada.
The head of the ministry noted that such a step was not only to demonstrate the ignoring of calls for peace, but also to support the positions of world leaders, creating an idea of their indecision. He added that Russia actually refuses any attempt to establish a dialogue, choosing the path of escalation under the cover of applications for negotiation.
According to the official, only a decisive answer and real pressure can give a clear signal to the aggressor about the inadmissibility of such actions.
