The Office of the President of Ukraine is working on the organization of Volodymyr Zelensky's official visit to Saudi Arabia. The head of OP Andriy Yermak reported this in his Telegram channel on January 22.
During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Andrei Yermak met with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud. According to him, the main topic of negotiation was the deepening of cooperation between countries.
"We are preparing the visit of the President of Ukraine to Saudi Arabia. There are a number of important issues about deepening cooperation," Ermak said.
It is expected that the future visit of Vladimir Zelensky will be aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia. The key topics can be:
- support of Ukraine in the international arena, in particular in the conditions of Russian aggression;
- economic cooperation, including Saudi investment in the Ukrainian economy;
- Energy sector cooperation.
Saudi Arabia, being an influential member of the OPEC and a key player in the international arena, can become an important partner of Ukraine in both political and economic aspects.
