The Ministry of Defense has expressed optimistic prospects for the development of drone production next year. Deputy Minister of Defense Yuri Jigir named two key parameters that will help improve this industry.
According to Jigir's statement, the increase in financial resources and the simplification of conditions for domestic production of drones play an important role in stimulating the growth of drone production next year. In particular, the government has simplified the import procedures for raw materials for drones. According to Jigir, these improvements will contribute to a significant increase in the ability in the field of drones.
While the Ministry of Defense demonstrates positive moods regarding the production of drones, the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) and the National Anti -Corruption Bureau (NABU) continue to send financial resources for projects related to drones.
In particular, about 15 million hryvnias will be allocated for the project of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the name "Army of Drones". These funds will cover the losses resulting from a criminal investigation into the illegal withdrawal of funds from JSC "Ukrgasbank". According to the agreements, persons who have found guilty will also pay some of the funds in favor of the project.
Minister of digital transformation Mikhail Fedorov confirmed that the government continues to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure transparency and accountability in the procurement of drones under the State Drone Army Program. After the introduction of online procurement monitoring and access to NABU, Fedorov emphasized systematic cooperation with anti-corruption bodies.
In total, 714 million hryvnias were transferred during the cooperation period to strengthen the country's defense within the project "Drone Army", which includes the purchase of thousands of modern drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate.
