Orban again opposed Ukraine's accession to the EU

Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban again expressed his categorical position against Ukraine's accession to the European Union. In his Facebook post on April 24, the politician urged the citizens to oppose the expansion of the bloc, noting that Ukraine's accession to the EU was threatened with everything that Hungary has been achieved.

"Ukraine's accession to the EU is jeopardizing all our achievements. We will not allow the Hungarians to be humiliated!" Vote! " Said Orban.

The politician did not specify what kind of achievements are being discussed, but his statement indicates that the EU enlargement can affect stability and the results of Hungary achieved within the block. Orban has repeatedly stated that it opposed such an extension of the EU, and blocks the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.

This statement is part of Orban's constant criticism on the European Union's policy and its impact on Hungary's domestic policy. The prime minister's position continues to remain contradictory, given the complex relations of Hungary with other EU countries, in particular through the issues of human rights and the rule of law.
