Ukraine plans to continue to displace the Russian Federation from its territory, even in winter, said US defense Minister Lloyd Austin. The success of the Ukrainian army in the war depends on the efficient use of the received military equipment from the Western countries.
Austin stressed that there is no magic wand in the modern conflict, and success depends on the integration of new weapons into a general military strategy. He noted that Ukraine has already caused serious losses to the Russian invaders, restoring control of 50% of the previously occupied territory and bending the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
The Minister stressed that the US is expecting further activity of settling its territory, and supported it with a new package of military assistance for $ 100 million, including winter equipment. Austin also expressed confidence in the readiness of the Ukrainian military for operations in the winter and supported the strategy of President Zelensky to continue pressure on the enemy.
