The South African Republic (South Africa) officially supported the "peace plan" of China and Brazil to settle the war between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by President of South Africa Siril Ramafos after meeting with China's leader Xi Jinping, CCTV reports.

There is a deep traditional friendship between the countries. Our positions and goals on many issues are the same, ”he emphasized.

China and Brazil have proposed a "peace plan" of six points, which, according to them, is aimed at the de -escalation and resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. The support of this plan of South Africa is indicative of strengthening the role of these countries in international efforts to end the war, which has been going on for more than a year and a half.

Ramafos, who is on an official visit to China, expressed his hope that this plan would support other countries and will become the basis for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. During his visit, he also plans to participate in the Sumy-African Cooperation Summit, which will take place from September 4 to September 6.

China has previously urged other countries to support his initiative to settle the conflict. The Special Representative of the Chinese Government in Eurasia Lee Huai said that the peace plan includes the principles of de -escalation and prevention of escalation of armed conflict. The Chinese side emphasizes the importance of compliance with three key principles: not to expand the war zone, to prevent escalation of conflict and to avoid provocations.

China's position on the Ukrainian issue remains consistent and clear, confirming their approach to finding a peaceful conflict resolution. The support of the couples of this plan can have a significant impact on international efforts to end the war, especially given the strategic importance of the African continent in global political processes.
