The Parliament did not support the recall of Yuriy Boyko from the specialized committee

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine could not vote for the recall of the People's Deputy Yuriy Boyko from the post of a member of the Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, National Minorities and International Relations.

According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the Resolution No. 12327 was supported by only 217 deputies from the required 226. This was the next unsuccessful step of parliament in an attempt to hold a deputy responsibility, which causes serious political disputes.

On December 14, Yuriy Boyko published a video address stating that he had an increase in support for his political force. In his speech, he accused Ukrainian society of "harassment" of certain groups of citizens and prohibition to speak "native language". These statements have caused widespread resonance and outrage in society.

Boyko's opponents insist on his removal through such statements, which, in their opinion, undermine national unity and misinform the public. At the same time, the lack of votes in Parliament testified to the lack of unity among the deputies on this issue.
