Pension reform in Europe and Ukraine continues

European trade unions are alarmed - in Denmark, the government has decided to gradually increase their retirement age. By 2040 it will reach the record 70 years.

According to the Law: in 2030, the retirement age will increase from 67 to 68 years, in 2035 - to 69 years, in 2040 - up to 70 years. Citizens born in 1971 will be the first to fall under the new rules. The Danish government explained changes in life expectancy and an increase in the number of pensioners. In their view, the system will not withstand the load without gradually increasing the age of retirement.

Trade unions have already expressed anxiety - they doubt that people at 70 will be able to work effectively. Representatives of labor associations require a revision of the approach and taking into account the real physical condition of workers in older age.

In Ukraine, the retirement age does not increase formally, but requirements for insurance experience are increasing. By 2028, at least 35 years of experience will be required to retire at 60 years. In case of less experience, the pension will be available later. The main changes by 2028: 2025: 60 years - 32 years of experience; 63 years - 22 years. 2026: 60 years - 33 years; 63 years - 23 years. 2027: 60 years - 34 years; 63 years - 24 years. 2028: 60 years - 35 years; 63 years - 25 years.

The pension at 65 will remain available in the presence of 15 years of experience.
