In January-February 2025, the Institute of Consumer Expertise conducted an A-95 gasoline check for 16 Ukrainian gas stations, finding changes as fuel.
The gasoline, which meet the highest standards, was in the Green category. The leaders were private networks WOG, AMIC, OKKO, KLO, as well as state UkrNAFTA and PARALLEL. Vostokgaz and SVR networks, despite the difficult conditions, retained high quality fuel, and the Marshall network first got to the leaders. WOG (95.8 units) and AMIC and KLO (95.7 units) were demonstrated by the octane number, which guarantees more efficient engine operation and fuel savings. The WOG and UKRNAFTA network is especially allocated for the minimum sulfur content - only 4 and 5 mg/kg. Also, all the networks studied recorded a normal level of aromatic hydrocarbons and benzene.
Gas station networks, such as Motto, Factor, VST, their own and BVS, have received a place in the Blue category. Although the quality of their fuel meets the standards, it still approaches the maximum permissible standards. Compared to previous studies, when these networks have reached the "red" category, the quality of the fuel has improved significantly, although it is still on the verge of acceptable standards.
BRSM-Nafta and Euro 5 were included in the "red" category. The BRSM-Nafta has exceeded sulfur content, and in euro 5-a significant excess of norms for benzene and sulfur.
Experts explain the improvement of fuel quality with two key factors: the growth of margin costs of fuel and the active struggle of law enforcement with fake gasoline producers. Despite the positive changes, the director of the institute Yuri Chernobryvets urges not to lose vigilance.
