In Poland, the preparation of Ukrainian volunteers began, who signed contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first group of fighters of the Ukrainian Legion passed the signing of contracts at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin, after which she went to the Polish Army landfill for the basic military training.
Training, which will last 35 days, will be under the guidance of Polish instructors using modern NATO weapons. The program is attended by the Armed Forces commanders who have combat experience and provide additional support to volunteers. After basic training, servicemen will have the opportunity to continue training in the selected military accounting specialties at NATO bases in Europe.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Peter Gorkush, a representative of the Ukrainian Legion command, about 700 applications from Ukrainian citizens living in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland and other countries have been received from the recruiting center. After passing the military commission and inspections, these volunteers will also be able to join the Legion.
