The Brix group adopted a final declaration that expressed its position on the war in Ukraine. The statement contains several important abstracts that reflect the views of the Member States on conflict and international efforts to settle it.
It is a need to resolve the conflict through "negotiations and diplomacy". Also "pleasure celebrating proposals" about mediation from a peaceful settlement (apparently, the Chinese-Brazilian peace initiative is meant).
“We are reminded of national positions on the situation in Ukraine and around it, outlined in the relevant forums, including UN and UN GA. We emphasize that all states must act in accordance with the goals and principles of the UN Charter in their entirety and interconnectedness. We are pleased to celebrate the appropriate mediation proposals and good services designed to ensure a peaceful settlement of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy, ”the message reads.
Earlier in the Russian Federation stated that they greet the Chinese-Brazilian peace plan, which envisages the end of the war on the front line.
