The White House considers the possibility of termination of all current supply of military assistance to Ukraine. According to The Washington Post, citing a high -ranking US administration official, this decision may be a response to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky's statement in the oval office and his position on the peace process.
If the decision is made, it will affect the supply of radars, vehicles, ammunition and missiles for billions of dollars that were to be sent to Ukraine through the presidential mechanism of arms reduction.
"Consideration of a weapon detention for Ukraine, which reflects a full-scale invasion of Russia, emphasizes the sharp deterioration of relations between former allies after a contradictory exchange of views in the oval office between Zelensky, President Donald Trump and Vice President Jaj Vent."
According to the official, the confrontation of Trump and Vance with Zelensky was not deliberate, and the administration tried to create a more positive tone of the meeting. At the same time, the fact of discussing the suspension of military assistance indicates serious changes in the US approach to Ukraine support.
