The state continues to fight tax evasion, and this time the victim became a popular inst-blogger, who, through his Instagram page, promoted lacquer-life and tried to hide his real income from the tax. The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danilo Getmantsev, reported that the tax service and the National Police on the results of the audit had added blogger Andriy M. 70.7 million UAH of arrears.
According to Getmantsev, this case is a striking example of how the state now actively responds to attempts by bloggers and other influents to evade taxes. The amount of UAH 70.7 million is not final, and the check continues, which indicates the severity of the state's intentions to detect such violations.
According to Hetmantsev, in this case it is a blogger who not only taught his subscribers of wealth strategies, but also gained considerable income because of his popularity on Instagram. However, his approach to doing business raised the issue in the tax service, as he did not declare his income, which led to serious financial claims from the state.
Getmantsev also emphasized that it is important for such bloggers to understand: in the modern world, even a successful career on social networks does not exempt taxes from the obligation to pay, and the state is able to respond to attempts to avoid this obligation.
