In the east of Turkey, where in February this year there were destructive earthquakes, new underground shocks were recorded. According to the Directorate for the Prevention of the Consequences of Natural Disasters Turkey (AFAD), the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.2, and later another - 4.7 on the Richter scale.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Battalgaz area in Malatia's province at 17:46, with an epicenter at a depth of 6.99 kilometers. Shortly after that, another magnitude earthquake of 4.7 took place in the same area.
Currently, information about destruction and victims has not been received, and the local authorities are keeping the situation under control.
