The explosion in one of Lviv hotels attracted the attention of local residents and media. The event happened on the third floor of the Arena Hotel located on Gorodotskaya Street. According to reports, the man, while in the room, threw an explosive device that caused the explosion and damage to the windows and doors of the building. The man with injuries was hospitalized.
Initially, information about the explosion of a grenade appeared in the city public. Subsequently, a video was published, which shows the moment of the explosion that occurred after the quarrel of two men. In the video, one of them runs out of the room, and then there is an explosion. The Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region reported that the incident happened around midnight. Police and explosive staff left the scene. According to preliminary information, a 44-year-old Lviv resident threw an unknown explosive device. As a result of the explosion, he was injured and was hospitalized. Police opened criminal proceedings under Article 296 (4) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). Investigation continues, law enforcement officers find out the circumstances of the explosion and the origin of the explosive device.
