Information on the automatic imposition of penalties for the lack of insurance policy through auto -fixation chambers in Ukraine is not true. This was stated by the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department Alexei Biloshitsky, explaining the situation.
According to Biloshitsky, a new insurance law has come into force since the beginning of the year, which allows you to check the availability of an insurance policy, including with the help of auto -fixation chambers. However, there is currently no legislative grounds for automatic fixation of this violation.
"The auto -fixation system is not technically not adapted to fix the absence of insurance. In addition, changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses and other normative acts that would envisage the possibility of using such a system," he explained.
Biloshitsky also stressed that this issue is being worked out both technically and normative, and about the start of fixation of such violation in automatic mode of citizens will be informed in advance through official sources.
At the same time, he recalled that the lack of insurance policy could be recorded during a vehicle stopping by police, as it happened earlier. Therefore, the design of the insurance policy remains a mandatory requirement of the law and the guarantee of the safety of drivers and passengers.
