Polish farmers have announced blockade on one of the roads between Poland and Slovakia, which are planned to be kept by the end of March.
Local farmers from settlements near the village of Khizhne are planning to control the loads on the border between Slovakia and Poland, and have already applied for their protest to the Gmina in Jablonka.
The reason for this protest, as well as the past shares of farmers, is their demand to stop the "uncontrolled influx of grain from Ukraine to the EU" and make changes to the requirements of the "green" legislation of the European Union, which complicate their competition with cheaper products from third countries.
Protest participants are going to arrive at the checkpoint with their own tractors and plan to check each truck moving to Poland and miss one hour. They promise to pass cars, pedestrians and cyclists without interruption.
Drivers who do not pass the review, protesters promise not to allow entry to Poland.
