Ukraine appealed to the American TV channel Fox News to investigate the incident, during which the speech of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church of Patriarch Cyril was shown on a live broadcast, and the capital of Ukraine was signed as a "Russian" city.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine George Tykhy in his account on the social network X (former Twitter). At the time of publication, Fox News did not formally commented on the incident and published no explanation or apology.
It is known that during the broadcast of personnel with Patriarch Cyril were accompanied by a titer, in which Kiev was incorrectly marked as part of Russia. This fact caused a wave of indignation in the Ukrainian audience as well as in diplomatic circles. It is unclear whether the incident was a technical mistake or the result of a conscious decision of the editorial board. However, representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry call for a responsible attitude to information, especially in the conditions of war, when the information war is no less important than the armed.
In parallel in the US media space, information about the possible purchase of MSNBC TV channel Ilon Musk has recently appeared. The businessman criticized the channel for "child propaganda", and now intends to bring it to his media imperial. These events only increase the attention of the American media and their impact on the international audience.
