In May 2025, there was a sharp increase in interest in electric vehicles in Ukraine. According to Ukravtopromy, citizens registered 1257 new electric vehicles on battery power sources (Bev). This is 93% more than in May last year, and 35% more than in April 2025.
The overwhelming majority of new registrations were passenger electric vehicles - 1238 units. At the same time, 19 new commercial electric cars appeared on the market, which is almost four times exceeding last year's figure in the same period.

Since the beginning of 2025, Ukrainians have already purchased more than 4,200 new electric vehicles, which is 5% more than in the first five months of 2024.
This increase in demand is associated with a change in consumer preferences, tax privileges for imports of electric vehicles, as well as an increase in environmental consciousness among Ukrainians. The active development of infrastructure for charging electric transport plays a separate role.
While electric vehicles in Europe already conquer the market, Ukraine demonstrates that it is also ready for a "green" turn in transport.
