US Presidential Administration Joe Baiden has stated that the possible supply of Iran's ballistic missiles in Russia can be a "dramatic escalation" in the Kremlin's military support by Tehran. This was reported by a spokesman for the White House National Security Council Sean Savette in a comment for Reuters .
In particular, Savette noted that the United States has long been warned of strengthening the defense partnership between Russia and Iran after the commencement of full -scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. And now Washington is seriously concerned about new reports of possible Iranian missiles to Moscow.
According to Savetta, any transfer of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia will have serious consequences and will indicate the "dramatic escalation" of supporting the Kremlin's military aggression against Ukraine.
Another representative of the US administration noted that Washington carefully monitors any signs of Iran-Russian missile movements and is considering this issue in cooperation with partners from Europe.
Meanwhile, last Friday, the Iranian mission with the UN in New York stated that their position on Russia's war against Ukraine remains unchanged. According to Iranian diplomats, Iran considers "inhumane" to provide military assistance to any side of the conflict, as it only exacerbates human loss and destruction of infrastructure.
