Alexei Potapenko, better known under the pseudonym Potap, recently made dramatic changes in his image and creativity. He changed the nickname to Slavic Balagan and decided to move away from the usual image of the Ukrainian artist, choosing a new concept associated with the countries of Eastern Europe. This solution has become an important part of his strategy at the beginning of tours in the United States.
The new nickname - Slavic Balagan - reflects the artist's desire not only to expand his audience, but also to emphasize his belonging to the wider cultural context of Eastern Europe, not just Ukraine. Alexei explains this: “Hi guys, this is me, Slavic Balagan is your favorite older brother from Eastern Europe! I am here to make you laugh and forget all these stupid formalities of the event that prevent you from finding true happiness. " The artist has spread this message among his fans after launching a new project, which aims at a different approach to music and show business. One of the incidents that occurred during Potap in Spain became intriguing. The video that appeared on Instagram showed how a rapper with a yellow poster in her hands and in a red tracksuit stands in the center of Valencia. The poster says "Slavic tasting", which became a kind of metaphor for a new creative stage, on which Potap is going to present his music and performances in a completely new light. The video was signed: "Friends, look at whom he met in the center of Valencia." It became a joking moment because the video author joked that Potap also moved to Spain.
After changing the pseudonym, the artist actively positions himself as a representative of the cultural heritage of Eastern Europe, which contributes to the growth of its popularity in international space. His new image is of interest not only among fans, but also in musical circles, where he seeks to open new horizons for his work.
