Amazon workers announced a strike on Black Friday

Amazon workers are organizing a global strike that will last from Black Friday to Cyber Monday. This is the fifth anniversary of the protests, which aim to "make Amazon pay". The strike, which will begin on November 29, will last until December 2 and is planned in more than 20 countries around the world. It is organized by UNI Global Union and Progressive International, bringing together more than 80 trade unions and human rights groups.

The main goal of the strike is to draw attention to violations of workers' labor rights, environmental problems and the threat to democracy that, according to the organizers, Amazon's activities carry. According to Christy Hoffman, general secretary of the UNI Globe union, Amazon is "relentlessly chasing profits" which is having a negative impact on workers and society.

Thousands of workers and demonstrators in various countries, including France, Germany and India, are planning to participate in the strike. Protests are planned in many cities and could lead to delays in the delivery of goods during holiday sales.

A representative of Amazon, Eileen Hards, said that the company provides its employees with "high salaries, great benefits and opportunities for development." However, these statements do not reassure the organizers of the protest, who have been trying to force the company to change its policy for the fifth year in a row.
