Real's key player is out for the rest of the season and will miss Euro 2024 due to injury

David Alaba, defender of the Austrian national team and Real Madrid, will not be able to participate in further matches in the current season. He was sidelined during Real Madrid vs Villarreal due to injury and returned in the first half.

The 31-year-old player has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will soon need surgery. The football player will miss about 8 months, including Euro-2024. Real Madrid are planning to sign a replacement for Alaba during the winter transfer window.

This is the third cruciate ligament injury for Real Madrid players in the last 4 months, injuries for Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao. In the current season, Alaba took part in 17 matches for Real Madrid and scored two assists.
