The President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Andriy Dubas, made a forecast for inflation in Ukraine for 2024, pointing to several key factors that will influence the economic situation of the country.
According to his forecast, inflation in 2024 can be within 8-12%. This gap will depend on several factors, including the support of international partners, the level of money, the situation with the war in Ukraine and the dynamics of lending.
As it justifies its forecast, Dubas noted that, despite the decrease in inflation, citizens are still experiencing high prices for products due to significant significant growth. He also stressed that international support, especially funding for part of the budget, plays an important role in stabilizing the economy.
"We feel that the economy can live away. The last 3-4 months indicate a trend of lending, and it will also affect inflation," added the President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks.
By noting numerous factors of uncertainty, such as the continuation of international support, the possibility of additional issue of funds and the completion of the conflict, Dubas has determined a wide range of inflation expectations for 2024.
