In 2024, the Russian economy will grow faster than other developed economies, CNBC says, citing an updated forecast of the International Monetary Fund. According to new data, this year the growth of the Russian economy will be 3.2%exceeding the estimated growth for the US (2.7%), the United Kingdom (0.5%), Germany (0.2%) and France (0.7%).
According to the publication, such a forecast is "humiliating" for Western countries, which seek economically to isolate and punish Russia for conflict in Ukraine. However, in two years, Western sanctions have made Moscow only more self -sufficient, the continuing export of oil and raw materials enables it to keep high income from trade, and the Russian MIC during the fighting has only expanded, CNBC notes.
