In 2023, the profit of the largest hedge funds in the world reached a historical maximum, partly due to the growth of stock quotes. According to LCH INVESTMENTS, 20 leading hedge funds have earned a total profit of $ 67 billion, which exceeds the previous record of $ 65 billion, recorded in 2021.
These funds continue to retain their dominance in the industry, although they manage only 19% of total assets. It is worth noting that these 20 most successful hedge funds provided about a third of the total profit of the industry.
The TSI broke into the leaders, earning $ 12.9 billion for investors last year. Its increase was 33% compared to 24% of the US S&P 500 US Stock Index. The Fund's portfolio at the end of September had significant stakes in companies such as Alphabet Inc., Canadian National Railway, Visa Inc., General Electric Co. and Moody's.
Other outstanding Hedge funds also provided an impressive profit in 2023: Citadel-$ 8.1 billion (compared to $ 16 billion years earlier), Viking-$ 6 billion, Millennium-$ 5.7 billion, De Shaw-$ 4,2 billion.
