Republicans demand an investigation into Zelenskyi's visit to the United States

Republicans in the US House of Representatives announced their intention to initiate an investigation into Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's visit to the US this week. This statement caused active discussions in political circles and on information platforms.

They believe that the visit of the president of Ukraine could be aimed at supporting Kamala Harris before the elections.

A group of nine Republicans led by Rep. Lance Gooden (Texas) is seeking information from the Departments of Justice and Defense to determine whether Zelensky's visit to Pennsylvania earlier this week was "politically motivated" and paid for with US funds.

In particular, they ask whether Zelenskyi was flown to Pennsylvania on a US military plane and whether he was under Secret Service protection. And there is also the question of why the president of Ukraine was accompanied by only democrats.

The request quotes Zelenskyi as saying that Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance was "too radical" and that Trump "doesn't really know how to stop a war, even if he thinks he does."

It will be recalled that Zelensky publicly said that he wanted to meet with Trump, but after his statements, which were criticized by Republicans, information appeared that Trump did not agree to the meeting.
