The German defense concern Rheinmetall is ready to provide weapons for a possible international peacekeeping mission after the end of Russia's war against Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the company Armin Papperger during a press conference, noting that it is only a theoretical opportunity, and specific negotiations are not yet underway.
According to Papperger, Rheinmetall can offer more than 2000 weapons names, although he did not name the exact figures for possible supplies. The company is the largest manufacturer of army trucks and has considerable experience in the supply of military equipment. As an example, Papperger mentioned the supply of the German tank brigade in Lithuania, which is planned to be completed by 2027.
In addition to army trucks, Rheinmetall offers radio electronic struggle (HRV) and reconnaissance drones that may be required for control when the demarcation line is determined. The company also invests in the creation of intelligence satellites that can become an important part of a peacekeeping mission.
