Chinese TCL and Xiaomi technological giants have stopped supplying components to the production of TVs to Russia, which caused significant problems for local electronics producers. This decision was the result of fears before possible sanctions from the US and the European Union.
The termination of the supply of components was confirmed by the Director of Strategic Development of the STI Group contract plant Cyril Skvortsov. "The Chinese company works with Russia, the US and the EU, TCL has made a choice in favor of countries with large markets," he said.
According to him, the stocks of components for collecting TVs at the enterprise will be enough until November. If the problem is not solved, the STI Group plant in the Moscow region can be frozen, Skvortsov added.
Chinese companies are forced to minimize the risks of secondary sanctions, so they try to limit the direct import of goods and some categories of components to Russia.
If the trend of refusal to supply components continues, it will reduce the volume of market, shortage of certain categories and rise in prices for TVs-the main channel of propaganda of the state-aggressor of the Russian Federation.
