The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR) has been attacking the Russian military base in Syria, reports Kyiv Post, publishing a video from the scene. The materials presented by the publication shows the results of strokes, including lesions of the mobile complex of radio electronic wrestling (IEC) and drones on the air base.
Sources of the publication report that a comprehensive impact on military equipment at Kuwaire, which is located east of Aleppo, was applied on July 25 - the next day after meeting in the Kremlin of Putin and President of Syria Bashar Assad.
Intelligence stated that this base was also used to study and transfer foreign mercenaries to the war in Ukraine.
The strikes were not officially confirmed. However, GUR earlier had already struck Russian positions in Syria.
It should be noted that Aleppo is located near the uncontrolled government of Syria, the province of Idlib, which is based on several radical Islamic groups. And also near the territories that control Kurds.
