As a result of the morning Russian rocket strike on an apartment building in Poltava, two people were killed, seven injured, including a child. This was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES).
The explosion destroyed the entrance of the house from the 1st to the 5th floor, causing a fire. Several neighboring homes and 12 nearby homes were also damaged. According to the SES, rescuers were able to save 21 people from the rubble.
Emergency work is ongoing at the shelling site. Emergency staff continue to seek the victims and eliminate the effects of the explosion.
