President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Russia can agree to a full ceasefire without additional conditions, but pressure from the USA is required. This was reported by the press service of the Head of State on Wednesday, April 2.
During a meeting with representatives of the Business of Dniprovshchyna, Zelensky stressed that Ukraine has already demonstrated its readiness for a complete and unconditional ceasefire.
"Ukraine has demonstrated-and everyone emphasizes it-readiness for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. We do not set any conditions, and" Russian "have no right to set any conditions," the President said.
Zelensky also stressed that Ukraine opposes any concessions in the form of withdrawal of sanctions from Russia in exchange for ceasefire. This position is supported by the EU countries.
According to the President, Russia continues to evade the cessation of hostilities because it seeks to achieve some success at the front. This is confirmed by the enemy's plans to take offensive actions in Sumy, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya areas, but these intentions have not been realized.
The President has believed that increased diplomatic pressure and active dialogue with the Russian side can be decisive factors to achieve ceasefire.
"I think that increased pressure and dialogue of Americans with them will still lead to a ceasefire," Zelensky summed up.
