The Security Service of Ukraine exposed two founders of a private company who supplied 30 thousand kits of defective military uniforms to the National Guard units. The total cost of these deliveries, made from March to October 2023, amounted to UAH 28.7 million.
The examination showed that the form purchased for public funds was made using accessories that did not meet the specifications. The materials had a reduced durability class, which made clothes unsuitable for operation in combat. Servicemen could not reliably fix the form of protective ammunition, weapons and ammunition, which threatened their lives and health.
During the searches, commercial documentation and a hard drive with evidence of their illegal activity were removed from the preferences. The investigation is currently underway to bring all those involved.
Under the offense, the attackers are threatened with up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
