Relatives of Ukrainian prisoners of war are warned of a new fraudulent scheme, in which the attackers are represented by staff of international organizations and demand funds for the alleged delivery of parcels to the places of keeping prisoners in Russia.
The coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war received several reports from relatives of the defenders of Ukraine who are captured by Russia. Fraudsters call under the guise of humanitarian missions and charitable funds, offering relatives to pay for parcel delivery for their loved ones.
The headquarters urges not to trust such proposals and emphasizes that no international organization, government bodies or official volunteer organizations require payment for the transfer of parcels or other assistance.
"All the services provided by the coordination headquarters to the families of defenders and defenders are free of charge," the staff emphasized.
It is important to remember that these fake suggestions may be part of the fraudsters' attempt to make money on the emotions and vulnerability of prisoners of war.
