Another autonomous region of the Republic of Moldova turned to Russia for help

Gagauzia, an autonomous region within Moldova, turned to Russia for help after Transnistria.

The head of the Gagauz Autonomous Region Yevgenia Hutsul (representing the opposition political force of Ilan Shor, whom the Moldovan authorities accuse of ties to the Russian Federation) stated during a visit to Moscow that the rights of the residents of Gagauzia are limited by the Moldovan authorities. And that the autonomy wants to develop relations with Russia.

In particular, Hutsul said that Gagauzia demands the restoration of air traffic between Chisinau and Moscow.

It will be recalled that on February 28, the "Congress of Deputies" of Transnistria also turned to Russia with a request for "the protection of Transnistria in the conditions of increased pressure from Moldova."
