Seven signs that may indicate a mental unhealthy person

In Ukraine, as in many other countries, mental health is often overlooked. We tend to focus on physical health, but mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, apathy and others are usually ignored. This is a big mistake, because timely detection of problems can help avoid serious consequences. Mental health is as important as physical and if you notice any changes in emotional state or behavior, it can be a signal to consult a specialist. Here are seven basic signs that can indicate mental disorders.

We all have difficulty in motivation or energy to do the usual business from time to time. However, when the lack of willpower lasts for a long time and it seems that there is no desire to do anything, it can be a sign of depression. Loss of interest in the activity that you have performed with joy can indicate emotional burnout or other mental problems.

Sudden mood changes are a normal phenomenon, but when these changes occur for no apparent reason, they can indicate a mental disorder. For example, you have been happy with your life, but now you feel unreasonable aggression or sadness. This can be the result of hormonal changes, prolonged stress or emotional instability. This condition requires a specialist.

When you notice that your emotions do not correspond to the situation (such as laughter in a sad situation or excessive aggression in calm conditions), it can be a sign of mental disorder, such as emotional burnout or bipolar disorder. Such symptoms should be discussed with a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Stress, anxiety and other psychological conditions can affect appetite. If you notice that you often do not want to eat or food does not cause any emotions, it can be a symptom of depression or other mental disorder. Combined with the lack of desire to do other things, it can indicate emotional instability.

Some people need loneliness to restore emotional strength. However, if you suddenly begin to avoid contact with people without obvious reasons and feel anger or anxiety when you are surrounded by others, it can be a sign of the development of psychological disorder, including Asperger syndrome or depression.

Paradoxically, the fear of being one can also indicate mental problems. If a person feels excessive anxiety or fear of staying alone, it may indicate excessive attachment or anxiety disorder. If this feeling greatly affects your daily condition, it is important to consult a specialist.

Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes constant and excessive, it can indicate anxiety. If you are too worried about future events, your work or financial condition, and you think any wrong decision can destroy your life, you should seek psychological support.
