In the Disneyland Paris, there was a scandalous incident: the man tried to rent a park for a wedding, the bride of which, according to the staff of the institution, was to become a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl. The event caused an immediate response from protection and law enforcement.
Disneyland staff noticed that the "bride" was a child, after which they immediately informed the police. The wedding, which was to take place on Saturday on June 21, never happened. According to the investigation, about 100 guests were invited to the event.
The police detained four people, including: 22-year-old "groom", a citizen of Great Britain; 41-year-old girl-Ukrainian; two Latvia citizens, 55 and 24 years old. A man who called himself a director and head of a producing company stated that the event was part of the filming and was staging. In support of this version, the prosecutor's office stated that the medical examination of the child did not show any signs of violence or coercion, and guests, according to preliminary data, were statistics.
Despite its initial staging, police continued to keep some participants in custody on suspicion of fraud and money laundering. The details of the event financing, the role of Latvian citizens and the sources of payment are now at the Center for Investigation. The Park Administration confirmed that she filed a complaint with law enforcement officers and fully cooperated with the investigation.
