On Tuesday, November 21, Slovak carriers began blocking traffic for freight vehicles at the Slovak Cherry Neekke checkpoint, adjacent to the Ukrainian point "Uzhgorod". This initiative is conducted by the Union of Carriers of Slovakia. The exact timing of the lock has not been reported, and it is possible that it can last for a long time.
The Union of Carriers of Slovakia is taking these measures in protest, and now Ukrainian border guards are taking measures to monitor the situation and clarify the procedure for further passage of freight vehicles. The Ukrainian authorities also interact with Slovak colleagues to address the issues of cargo categories and the conditions of their passage.
Currently, about 300 freight vehicles have been accumulated before the checkpoint "Vyshne Nemetske". All relevant bodies have been informed about the lock blocking situation for trucks, and further development requires attention and coordination with the parties involved.
