The US company SpaceX has successfully launched two satellites of Maxar Technologies. About it reports Space.com on Wednesday, February 5.
Falcon 9 rocket, on board, were the WorldView Legion 5 and 6 satellites, started from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. As it is noted, the first stage of the rocket performed the planned landing on the ground eight minutes after launch, while the upper part successfully launched two satellites in orbit.
The deployment of the apparatus occurred in two stages: WorldView Legion 5 separated about 49 minutes after the start, and WorldView Legion 6 was separated in an hour.
According to Maxar representatives, this launch was the final stage of creating the first block of the new generation of Maxar WorldView Legion. These satellites are designed for high -precision Earth's surface shooting and expanding the planet observation.
The launch again confirmed the reliability of SpaceX technologies and contributed to the further development of space research and satellite systems.
