The rape case linked to Kylian Mbappé was closed due to lack of evidence

The rape case involving Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has been closed due to lack of evidence. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of Sweden.

The investigation concerned a suspected rape and two cases of sexual harassment that allegedly took place on October 10 of this year in a hotel in the center of Stockholm. During the investigation of the case, a person who could be involved in these incidents was identified. However, there was insufficient evidence to continue the pre-trial investigation.

"During the investigation, a person reasonably suspected of rape and two cases of sexual harassment was identified, but I estimate that the evidence is insufficient for further action, so the investigation is closed. The suspect of committing the crime was not served on the identified person," said senior prosecutor Marina Chirakova, who headed the investigation.

This incident caused a significant response in the media, but currently there are no legal claims against Mbappe in this case. The decision to close the investigation puts an end to this issue.
