The possibility of war between the United States and nuclear states as Russia or China remains real and can begin at any time. This was stated on November 26 by Frank Kendall, the head of the US Air Force, during his speech before the cadets of the US Air Force.
Kendall stressed that his key task is to prepare the military for possible conflicts, in particular for the Great War, which may become inevitable.
"My goal is to inspire a sense of urgent need to prepare for a war that can break at any moment. It is not an abstract threat, it is our reality," he emphasized.
According to Kendall, China continues to build its military potential, including a weapon that is capable of neutralizing the US forces in the Pacific. Particular attention is paid to the situation around the Taiwan and the South China Sea.
At the same time, Russia, which has already demonstrated readiness for aggression against its neighbors, openly discusses the possibility of nuclear weapons, in particular in the context of war in Ukraine.
"The potential of nuclear weapons has become very real. Russia increases its dependence on the nuclear arsenal, and China increases it to a level, which becomes comparable to the US and Russia," Kandall said.
He also warned the cadets that they would not only have to be involved in controlling potential conflicts, but also to prevent the catastrophic consequences of a possible nuclear war.
"The threat of nuclear war has returned, perhaps in more dangerous forms than ever before. It is the threat that your generation should cope with," he added.
The convergence of Russia and China, which has nuclear potential, is increasingly concerned in the United States. According to Kendall, this alliance can create the greatest challenge for international security, which only enhances the urgency of preparing for possible conflicts.
