The US is sending additional weapons to Ukraine at Trump's instruction

The US Department of Defense has officially confirmed a new wave of military assistance to Ukraine. According to Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell, this decision was made personally by President Donald Trump after consultation with allies and talking to Vladimir Zelensky.

"At the instruction of President Trump, the Ministry of Defense sends additional defense weapons to Ukraine so that Ukrainians can defend ourselves as we work to ensure a strong peace and termination of murder," - said in an official statement published on the Pentagon website.

This ad was an important signal after several weeks of uncertainty. At the beginning of the month, the US administration temporarily frozen supply of a number of critical systems, such as Patriot missiles and high -precision shells. The reason for this was the audit of military reserves, which caused concern in the Ukrainian government against the background of the activation of Russian shelling.

The situation has reached the highest level - Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump had a telephone conversation, during which the President of Ukraine outlined the threats that are due to delay in supply. After this conversation, the process moved from the place.

According to sources in the Pentagon, several military assistance packages will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future. Their composition is not disclosed at the moment, but according to the US media, it is about restoring some of the suspended deliveries.

Earlier, Politico reported that the restoration of assistance would be a topic of meetings between US Special Representative Kit Kellog and Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. The parties are expected to coordinate the road card by the end of the summer.

Trump's decision can be a signal for US allies to change the tone in relations with Kiev. Against the background of increasing aggression by Russia, this assistance will be critical to maintain Ukraine's defense capability in the coming months.
