Poland has declared to the States that it is ready to accept American nuclear weapons, President Duda said.
"This has long been a topic of Polish-American negotiations. I have already discussed it several times. I do not hide that when I was asked about it, I declared our readiness. If such a decision is made by our allies to deploy nuclear weapons as part of the joint use of nuclear weapons and on our territory to strengthen the security of NATO's eastern flank, we are ready for it. We are an ally of the North Atlantic Alliance, and we have obligations in this area as well, so we simply pursue a common policy," the Polish president said in an interview with the Fakt newspaper.
He cited the fact that "Russia is increasingly militarizing the Königsberg region" and "recently it moved its nuclear weapons to Belarus" as arguments for such a decision.
