According to the latest data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, 11 people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation are currently wanted. All these parliamentarians are suspected of committing criminal offenses, and some of them already have convictions and are hiding abroad. Such information was made public by the "Chesno" public association.
It is noted that some deputies who are currently on the run from justice have already lost their mandates and live outside of Ukraine. Others, as before, continue to perform their duties in the parliament. Among them are Andriy Odarchenko, Artem Dmytruk, Yaroslav Dubnevich and Serhii Shakhov.
Particular attention is drawn to the fact that in order to avoid punishment for committed crimes, people's deputies use various methods. Some delay the consideration of their cases, others flee the country. For example, Andriy Odarchenko went abroad before the sentencing, and Artem Dmytruk - immediately after he was served with the suspicion.
The study also notes that law enforcement agencies have announced suspicions against another 50 deputies, among whom are representatives of all factions, except for the "Voice". People's deputies from the "Servant of the People" and the banned OPZZ party received the most suspicions.
At the same time, out of 13 parliamentarians who are suspected of crimes against national security, five remain active people's deputies.
