Trump is getting ready to negotiate with China to avoid new duties

US President Donald Trump has announced negotiations with the China's Chairman Jinping, which is aimed at delaying the introduction of 10% of duties on Chinese goods. According to the plans, tariffs should come into force on February 4, but Trump stated that the negotiations would probably take place within the next 24 hours. He warned that in the absence of an agreement with China, duties would be significant.

These negotiations have gained special attention after Trump has reached agreements with Mexico and Canada to delay 25% of duties in exchange for strengthening migration and drug trafficking measures. Particular attention will be paid to the fight against illegal fentanyl coming from China.

The White House spokesman Caroline Libvit said that Trump intends to discuss problems related to fentanil's illegal circulation in the United States.
