US President Donald Trump said Ukraine will be present at the negotiation table for the end of the war with Russia. He reported this during a briefing at the White House on February 13, Reuters reports.
According to Trump, Kyiv will surely participate in any peaceful negotiations between the parties.
"They are part of this. We will have Ukraine, and we will have Russia, and we will have other people, many people," the American leader emphasized.
The US President was also asked if he trusts Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump replied to it:
"I think he would like something to happen. I trust him in this topic."
Trump's statement emphasizes the importance of Ukraine in the peaceful settlement of the conflict and testifies to Washington's readiness to attach Kiev to the diplomatic process.
